Sizing Made Easy…
|
There are 2 ways to size your team: Measure each team member
or Use our sizing samples. Both methods can be accurate and easy
with some basic guidelines. First, have all team members wear a
swimsuit or similar attire for fast measuring or fast fitting of
uniform pieces. It is always best to have one person in charge of
measuring the girls or approving fit of samples so all uniforms
will look similar in overall fit. If parents are at fitting, make
sure they agree with size being ordered. A sign off sheet approving
sizing is helpful so parents understand that uniforms are custom made
and non-returnable. Remember, you may be ordering for growing athletes.
Take into consideration when selecting sizes. TeamLeader uniforms are
made to measure according to our size charts. Keep in mind that some
uniforms may require alterations after delivery depending on individual's
body type. Alterations will be the responsibility of the individual.
In an effort to make your sizing experience easy and as effortless as possible, TeamLeader offers you
some guidelines and helpful hints to assist you with the sizing process.

Helpful hints for each type of Uniform:

|
Shells:
Use chest measurement and BWL (back waist length) as a guide for size.
For a fitted look, follow size chart exactly. If a loose fit is desired,
move up one size. All shells have a 1" side seam, which allows shell to
be enlarged up to 3". All shells come in Youth and Adult sizes. Review
differences in youth & adult shells so you can determine best size for your team.
Youth shells are fuller through the waist and have smaller arm holes.
Adult shells have bust darts and are tapered at waist for a slimmer look.
Most Adult shells are 1" longer back waist length than youth shells.
Many shells are available with standard back waist length only.
Refer to catalog copy where shell is shown for specific styles that are
standard back waist length only. We are unable to subtract length from
shells, however; you can add length to most styles. For special larger
size shells, add $25.00 per shell.
If using sizing samples, each garment is marked with Size & Back Waist Length.
For youth garment, the size listed (YM) and BWL (16). If this is desired size
you'll mark YM/16. If you want 2" longer than you would order YM/18.
If measuring, Back Waist Length is measured from the base of the neck to the
desired length. Normally 1-2" past waistline. Chest Measurement is measured
with relaxed arms at sides. Measure around the fullest part of the chest.
Keep tape measure parallel to the floor.
Skirts:
TeamLeader offers a variety of skirt styles. The fit of the skirt style
varies on each body type. Use the catalog as a guide to determine best skirt
style for your team members. Begin by using the waist measurement to determine
skirt size, then find the closest hip measurement. Skirt lengths can be made in any
length 8" - 20". For other skirt lengths, add $5.00. If no specific skirt length is
requested, skirts will be manufactured with our standard skirt length which varies by size.
Refer to size chart for standard lengths. All skirts have a 2 button waistband for a great fit.
Buttons are easy to move for growing athletes. All skirts are available in Youth and Adult sizes.
Youth skirts are slimmer through the hip area and Adult skirts are fuller.
For skirts larger than our size chart, add $25.00 per skirt.
If using sizing samples, each garment is marked with Size & Length.
For youth skirt, the size is listed (YM) and length (13). If this is
desired size, you'll mark down YM/13. If you want to subtract 2", you would order YM/11.
If measuring team members, skirt length is measured under the 1" waistband over
the rear and downward to desired length. To measure the waist, measure around
the smallest area of the natural waistline (navel area). You may need to remind
girls where their waist is since many garments are worn at hips normally. Measure hips at the fullest area.
Dance:
Use Chest, Waist, Hips, and Girth for the guide when sizing
for Unitards, Pep Dresses & Leotards. All dancewear is fitted
to the body for accurate sizing. For a looser fit, move up one size.
Sizing Samples:
Sizing samples are available for Team fittings if reserved 2-4
weeks before fitting date. Sample reservations will be accepted
based on availability and order of request. Simply call to select
a date for your team and items of interest so we can reserve your date.
All samples require a deposit payment determined by samples requested.
Samples must be returned within 2 weeks for full credit toward your team order.
Bodyliners / Unitops:
Bodyliners / Unitops are tight fitting garments. Therefore, it is normal
to feel tightness around arm holes. Bodyliners / Unitops are available in 2
fabrics: medium weight traditional Stretch Knit and lightweight, performance PowerFlex(tm).
Be sure to select a bodyliner that compliments your shell design. TeamLeader cannot guarantee
that bodyliners with armhole designs will match up on every body type. All bodyliners available
in youth & adult sizes. Youth sizes have shorter crop back waist length and sleeve lengths.
If a looser fit is desired, move up 1 size.
If using sizing samples, size is clearly marked on samples.
Be sure to request samples in the fabric that you will be ordering (either Stretch Knit or PowerFlex(tm)).
If measuring, use the chest measurement, crop back waist length and center
back sleeve length to determine size. To measure center back sleeve, start
at base of neck down arm to desired length.
Warm-Ups:
TeamLeader offers custom made warm-ups and quick delivery stock styles.
All styles are available in youth & adult sizes. Because sizes vary by
manufacturer, it is important to not only measure your team members
accurately but it is equally important to use the correct size chart.
Warm-ups are non returnable and/or exchangeable so correct sizing is
imperative. For stock warm-up styles, correct size chart is on each page.
Keep in mind that some warm-up styles are unisex fit, meaning they are a larger
cut then ladies styles. If you are unsure of sizes, order sizing samples or a few
sizes in colors you desire for your team and use these as a guide for sizing.
All warm-ups are sold as separates. Jackets and pants can be ordered in different sizes.
If using sizing samples, refer to size marked. Custom made warm-ups can have
length added to inseams of pants. Specify inseam length if longer pant is desired.
However, stock styles have standard length only.
If measuring, use chest measurement for jacket. For pants, use waist & inseam measurement
to determine size. Measure inseam along the highest inside part of the leg line to desired length.
For special inseam measurements, add $5.00 per pant.

ABOUT TrueFit SIZING KIT:
Sizing samples are available for Team fittings if reserved 1-4
weeks before fitting date. Sample reservations will be accepted
based on availability. Simply call to select a date for your team
and items you need so we can reserve your date. All samples require
a deposit payment determined by samples requested. Samples must be
returned within 2 weeks for credit towards your team order. TeamLeader
